Make the Mission Yours!

The Administrative Team would like your help in the following matter:  Many years ago, the staff and Board of Directors created a mission statement for our organization.  However, we feel that as Civitan Services has grown and developed over the years, it is no longer a completely accurate description.  We have also done a lot of research on writing mission statements and every resource tells us that a good mission statement should be short and to the point.  Please review the rough draft below and then feel free to suggest changes to this draft or to write your own.  You can return your written thoughts to Ms. Becky at the front desk of The Civitan Center, give it to Sarita in the Community Services Office or you can attach it to your weekly timesheets.  There is no need to sign your written comments but, you can if you wish.  Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Mission Statement Proposed Draft:

Civitan Services provides quality individualized training and support for children and adults with developmental disabilities in order to help them maximize their potential.

Parking at The Civitan Center this summer!

Starting Monday, June 15^th, we can no longer park any vehicles next door at the Boys and Girls Club at any time.  They have their summer program going from 7-6 every day.  If you can’t find a parking spot in The Civitan Center parking lot, you need to park on the street (be sure to park with the flow of traffic and not on the sidewalk) or you can park at Benton High School.  There is a break in the BHS fence near the Preschool entrance.

The Boys and Girls Club has been a great neighbor and we need to honor their request that we not use their parking lot this summer.  Please help educate any guests/parents/outside case managers, etc.
